So...we took another trip to Palm Springs. This one we limited to a day trip. My parents, Jen and Jay and Jen's mom spent a few days out at La Quinta Spa & resort. We met them to celebrate Soph's 4th b-day. Oh my goodness, it is so hot out there. Jonas was thrilled to be going to a "different Palm Spwings". The whole way down he kept saying, "Where is Ma Quita?" I was trying not to respond too thoroughly because I was hoping he'd take a nap on the way down. He'd been up since 5:30. No such luck. Needless to say, the kids had so much fun swimming in a pool we had completely to ourselves. I think there are not many people who would choose to endure that heat or those flies willingly. Either that or they saw the madness and went looking for another pool to swim in. Oh, and Jim the Troll was there. Jonas was braver today.

Jonas helped make these cupcakes for his Soph and thought the fact that there were four pink candles in the box was perfect! He has placed the four blue candles in a special spot for his birthday. There is no doubt in my mind that he'll remember!
