Jonas is officially 6! Yes he tires me every single day, but he's also one of the main reasons I get out of bed every morning. He is amazingly smart and adventurous and I love every inch of him. He was super excited about his birthday...and so was I. Seeing him smile makes my heart so happy.

He loved his metal detector from Grandma and Grandpa and his remote control motorcycle from Grammy and Grampy. Mattias, of course, had a difficult time watching Jonas get presents, but Jonas was happy to share (for the most part).
He also had a busy week at school. A field trip to the "old folks home" where he gave a gift and sang Christmas Carols. He had a Christmas performance at school along with Grandparents day He had quite the entourage. It's such a blessing to have both sets of grandparents here to share on days like that, including his GG. He is well loved.
He had a great Christmas party at school where Mrs. Stanley gave him a Scooby Doo book (she knows him well), decorated a gingerbread house and a gingerbread man. He topped off his day with a pizza party.
And as if the week couldn't get any better, he had his first "official" birthday party on Saturday. Woody was sweet enough to share his birthday with his son (ok, so I didn't really give him a choice). Woody still got spoiled with lots of his favorite foods (brown pork, wontons, lemon bars and steaks). We invited friends and family to come over for pizza, a Scooby Doo bounce house, some zip lining and tree swinging fun. Oh, we also had a pinata, but that's hardly worth talking about since it busted on the first swing. Oh well. What's a party without kids crying? Jonas finally got his Shark Ship he'd been wanting along with a rocket to launch, and plenty more toys.
It's all this craziness that makes me love this time of year. So looking forward to Christmas with all of our family!
