Christmas Vacation

Although there have been several times these past few weeks when I have wanted to lock myself in my room, I will admit...I'm a little sad to get back to the grind. Jonas back to school to finish the second half of kindergarten and Tias is continuing on with preschool ( a place he no longer wants to go). Our lazy mornings of doing nothing are going to be missed. Thankfully, I still have this week off to ease back into everything.

We had a great Christmas and the boys were so excited. We played a little trick on them Christmas Eve at Grammy and Grampy's house. We only put their clothes presents under the tree and left all the toys hidden in the closet. It didn't take Jonas long to notice that every present was clothes. He asked Grammy if she had gotten any toys. At the end, we hauled out the toys and the kids loved every minute of it.

We made our traditional Jesus birthday cake and left some out for Santa. The boys had been saving their reindeer food for nearly a month and all heck broke out when Marley trotted up and ate it all before they could get back in the house. Once the tears and screaming stopped, they settled into bed for the night. They were so excited when they opened a letter from Santa that told them to get their coats and head outside to find their surprise. They were so excited to get their giant trampoline and have been jumping ever since. Well, until sickness settled in. All four of us have had issues. We are on the mends.

The boys love their new toys and although they aren't likely to admit it....they like their new clothes too. They got tons of new long sleeved shirts and pants and the weather these past days has been like summer! Jonas is determined to wear one of his new shirts tomorrow with a pair of shorts. Yes, shorts in January!
