Mom's Day

Officially, Mother's Day began, for me, on Saturday night when Woody and I went to dinner at a new Italian restaurant in Redlands. Now, around here...new restaurant means huge crowd. Huge crowd means Woody doesn't like it. But, he did okay and enjoyed himself. I had a huge bowl of spaghetti . We went with two of our dearest friends and enjoyed a child free meal. Sooo nice. What may have been even nicer was the gift certificate I got that is going to buy me a facial and pedicure. Two of my favorite things.

Sunday began with church and a bike ride for Woody. He was home when we got home from church...except he'd lost his phone when he crashed. He re rode the trail looking for it, but no luck. We headed down to AT&T (a familiar place to us) bought a new phone and I snuck in a quick pedicure. Then we got a call letting us know two hikers found the phone and turned it in. We drove back up the mountain and picked that up. Now Woody has two phones. Oh well, it's good to have an extra phone around here.

Oh, Rufus was on the rampage again. Tearing around the neighborhood and we couldn't find where he was getting out. We were searching for holes, gaps, anyplace he could squeeze through. Then he showed us....he wasn't going under the fence, he was going over! There was a spot in the bushes where the branches and leaves were so thick he could literally run up them and hop the fence. Stinkin' dog! Woody took care of it and not without Jonas' help of course...

Clippers, to help cut the shrubs, gwoggles, to protect against the dust and bees! He's such a big help let me tell you! I just love his hair and, of course, the gwoggles. The fact that God has made me a mother is truly a blessing beyond explanation.
Please pray for Aldena Hinkle(our pastor's wife) who has been in coma for 3 weeks today. No words can describe how amazing this woman is or how many lives she has touched. Pray for her family and doctors as well.
