Today, we finally made it to one of Woody's bike races. It was in San Dimas at a regional park and was perfect for the kids. Woody took first place and we had fun waiting for him to loop around. We got to the race around 8:30 and Jonas rode his bike all day long...no joke! We were happy Woody won, but the highlight of the day was at the end when Jonas got to race the kid race. Jonas' race was at 3:00 and all day long (around 35 times) he asked, "Is it free ocwock yet?" He was so excited. About two hours before his race he said, "I better start warmin' up." So sweet!!
First PlaceIn his race, he had to ride down and around a cone. He and another kid crashed. He hopped right up and kept going. He was pedalling hard....so hard, he forgot to loop around the other turn and Woody had to yell for him to turn. Honestly, I loved every minute of it. His first taste of competition and it is a memory I never want to forget.
