Watchin' 4 A Crysallis

Here's a butterfly update: The boys got to watch the caterpillars eat and eat and literally grow right before their eyes! It's amazing how fast they grow in just one day. Tias would say, "Big, big." We watched them creep to the top and get into a "J position" which is the way they hang just before they turn to a chrysalis. Jonas would count how many Tias had hanging and how many he had hanging. It was more of a contest to him.....of course.
The best thing was early this morning when Jonas woke up. We went to see what had happened overnight and saw that Tias just had one more caterpillar who needed to change. It was while we were watching that he began to change. The process of changing from a caterpillar to a chrysalis happens in less than 5 minutes. I've only seen it twice in all the times I've hatched these. It's a really cool thing to watch! It reminds me of putting on a sock. It starts from the bottom and quickly moves up, like a sock that rolls from the toes to the shin. Jonas thought it was really cool! Now we wait for butterflies to "break out".
I suppose some would say these amazing changes just happen by chance, but to me.....it is evidence. God is truly amazing in the way he has designed things!
